If his belly hurts that bad you should not give him anything and take him to the emergency room right away to rule out such things as appendicitis, or a constricted bowel, or even something he may have swallowed.

    Don’t risk it!

If he has an upset stomach either go to the store and get something for kids (they make a pepto for kids which doesn’t contain salicylate ). Or try home remedies like ginger tea, gingerale, a small amount of baking soda in water (like 1/4 tsp) etc.

A peppermint candy dissolved in water helps with indigestion. A small amount of pepto bismol will not hurt your child and will help them but do not over-do it. Sometimes Sprite is helpful, sometimes patting their back to help them burp. Crackers are good with nausea too.

Read the back of the bottle. If it says for 6 and under call the doctor, then that’s what you do.

my daughter also has a stomach ache at the moment. I have given panadol,a heat pack and she is having a sleep. I think I know what pepto is…isn’t that for heart burn? I wouldn’t give it with out first asking the doctor or a pharmasist

They actually make a children’s pepto now, I would give him that before I gave him an adult dose, but if necessary just give him one or a simple glass of milk, or warm water. Some teas help soothe an achy belly too, like peppermint. I used to give my 3 yr old half a pepto once in awhile when he got an upset tummy, never hurt him. Hope the little guy feels better soon.
