I recently gave my soon to be 15 year old son asprin a total of four over a two day period, to releave his muscle aches which I thought was due to football practice later finding out he was at the beginning stages of the flu which progressed into a high fever, achey body and constant red eyes, I read and also heard he could get reye’s syndrome by taking asprin at the time of a flu or chicken pox I ‘m so scared, has any one heard of this syndrome and is it rare? should I not worry and let his flu take it’s course? when does reye’s syndrome signs start to take place?…..PLEASE HELP!
