My child has a fever. Is it okay to administer baby aspirin, according to their age and weight? Is it?

STAR T asked:

1)As long as you use a formula strictly for children, there is no problem with using aspirin to reduce their fever.

2)Aspirin should not be used in children under 12 years of age. In rare cases, aspirin can cause Reye’s syndrome in children who have the flu or chickenpox, and can lead to death.

3)It is an old wives’ tale that aspirin is not safe for children. Make sure you follow the directions on the package for the appropriate dosage.

4)Aspirin is actually the safest choice for reducing fever in children. Studies have shown that it poses no risk of damaging the kidney and liver, like other antipyretics can do
