Midwifes & or Doctors please. Pregnancy & post birth?

My baby is 2 weeks old, my post labour bleeding had almost stopped, but late last night i got bad cramps & when i went to the toilet i lost a fair bit of blood & a few large clots (that looked like chunks of liver) the blood was bright red.
During my pregnacy i took medication, that had 324mg of aspirin in it per tablet, i would sometimes take up to 4 of these a day (it was prescribed medication for migraines) When my bub was given her shot after birth, she bled alot, could this be due to the aspirin i took while pregnant? I have also taken this medication since i gave birth, yesterday was the 1st time, could this be why i bled like that last night? & I am breastfeeding. My Dr told me it was perfectly ok & necessary due to the bad migraines i get, but Ive since been told this morning it’s not safe & i could pass the aspirin through my breastmilk to my bub & cause Reye’s syndrome. If i haven;t already done enough damage taking it while pregnant!!!

I am aware that you are not supposed to take aspirin while pregnant, but I had no idea my PRESCRIBED medication had aspirin in it & i asked my Dr when i fell pregnant if it was safe to continue to take it & he said it was fine, it wasn’t until this morning when I was talking to a nurse that she tol me what I’m taking has aspirin in it. I have no intention of taking this medication again while I’m feeding, but I am concerned as to what effect it has had on my bub to date & if there is anything i should look out for…

You should not be taking aspirin while you were pregnant nor while you are nursing.
You may want to get a second medical opinion before continuing to take aspirin.
