aspirin is bad in large doses
it can burn a whole right through your stomach
i get a bad stomach ache from maybe 6 a day
if she starts foaming from the mouth or nose i’d call 911
wow…..cant you F*CKING kids learn!!!
Well you will find out..
12 aspirin won’t really hurt her. She would have to take up to 10 grams (over 20-30 pills in a day) to have any serious issues. Mostly she will probably just get a bunch of stomach upset, a little ringing in the ears,
I’m more worried that she might need psychiatric help, see if you can find a school counselor to refer her to
Normally, if you take too much aspirin, your stomach will hurt and you’ll end up vomiting.
Its hard to overdose on medication like that.
Good luck to your friend. Thats still not a very smart move.
matters if she wanted to die, or if it was accidental. if she wanted to die then: get her some help. think about how her parents would react, and if people would actually believe you. but most of all, call her or check in on her every once in a while to see how shes doing. trust me, 4 months ago i overdosed in vicodin to kill myself. tell her it will all get better in time. worse things can, have and probally will happen.
now if she did it on accident then its no big thats no a huge dose she might just puke it up.
but either way tell her to not take aspirin, but ibuprofen or Tylenol in place of it(for headaches or any other pain)
Aspirin overdose can be acute or chronic. In acute poisoning, a single large dose is taken; in chronic poisoning, supratherapeutic doses are taken over a period of time. Acute overdose has a mortality rate of 2%. Chronic overdose is more commonly lethal with a mortality rate of 25%; chronic overdose may be especially severe in children.
Aspirin overdose has potentially serious consequences, sometimes leading to significant morbidity and death. Patients with mild intoxication frequently have nausea and vomiting, abdominal pain, lethargy, tinnitus, and dizziness. More significant symptoms occur in more severe poisonings and include hyperthermia, tachypnea, respiratory alkalosis, metabolic acidosis, hypokalemia, hypoglycemia, hallucinations, confusion, seizure, cerebral edema, and coma. The most common cause of death following an aspirin overdose is cardiopulmonary arrest usually due to pulmonary edema.
Dangerous…only take what the label says
